Mr. Vu Anh Khoa, former Chairman of District 10 People’s Committee has just been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saigon Co.op for the 2019-2024 term.
At the meeting, the delegates also dismissed Mr. Nguyen Vu Toan as a member of the Board of Directors and as a member and Chairman of the Board of Directors for Mr. Diep Dung (retired).

Mr. Khoa was born in 1983, in Ho Chi Minh City, holds a master’s degree in international trade and advanced political theory. In June 2021, he was appointed by the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to be the Secretary of the Saigon Co.op Party Committee. Before that, he was deputy secretary of the District Party Committee, chairman of the People’s Committee of District 10. He participated in the training program of 300 young doctors and masters of Ho Chi Minh City.
“I look forward to helping Saigon Co.op quickly stabilize, continue to thrive, and affirm as the leading consumer goods retailer brand in Vietnam,” he shared when he took office.
The lawsuit against the new leadership this time took place after Saigon Co.op had just experienced controversies related to violations in illegal capital contribution and acquisition at the time of adding charter capital to nearly 6,800 billions dong. After that, Mr. Diep Dung, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saigon Co.op was prosecuted for the accusation of Abuse of power while on official duty.
